No one learns practical stuff in massive lecture halls. So, our course series are both in-person and small-group! The unfortunate news is that this means limited seats. We strongly advise you reserve a seat, and then enjoy the easy three payments. There is a dial-in option, but then you're just a listener...and your voice is invited...so we encourage live attendance for anyone in the NYC area.
Spoken in real-speak, we wade through the philosophers and their ideologies that have shaped all of history. Yes, we'll read and discuss, but you'll never feel lost or be unguided. Deliciously brain-melting! Taught by a native New Yorker -- book editor, instructor and NYU master- lecturer -- we get real and gritty, challenged but uplifted.

We make it easy! For any upcoming seminar, Philo Project - Western Philosophy 1:
You may pay the full amount upfront to guarantee your seat. However, if you choose the three-payment option and miss any payment, your seat and all payments to that date will not be refunded.
There are no refunds for missed classes. These are off-campus courses, but run under the same fair principles as when you buy a course (or even a concert ticket!) -- if you do not attend, there is no refund.
If an instructor should fall ill or have an emergency, and a single class is cancelled, you will be notified by both email and text. If an agreement between all participants for a makeup date cannot be accomplished, the course will be condensed and you will be refunded for the cancelled single class. If ever an instructor stops any course part-way for any reason, you will be fully refunded pro-rata.
General Policies & Courtesies
Please do not be late. This is disruptive to everyone, as well as disorients you. If you will be late, notify the instructor by text and they will prop the door so you can enter without much ado.
If you have reading to do, please do your absolute best to get it done. Lively discussions happen here, and we count on each other to thrive and dive in!
Facility
We are in a quaint, old-school walk-up building. This should be taken into consideration prior to your sign up and registration! We wish we had an elevator :) but this is our office and conference space for now.
We have the entire floor, but we do share a hallway. Kindly be courteous while in any shared public indoor space.
We are fully insured, but if you break something like your desk or chair, please do just inform us.
We have an in-suite bathroom and kitchenette. Coffee and tea will always be available, as well as a Brita filter. Please bring your own mug or thermos so we keep the plastic usage down.
